Description
It is a Research Support Service prepared adequately and equipped with the necessary equipment and instruments to carry out the most usual surgical activity. Tables are special for animals and one of them is radiolucent to perform techniques with X-rays.
Equipment is also available for more specific procedures such as laparoscopic surgery and extracorporeal circulation. There is a microsurgery laboratory, which has four tables and four microscopes. In it both training courses in microsurgery are performed, as well as experiences that require only small animal.
The Experimental Operating Room of the Gregorio Marañón Health Institute, is the Surgical Area of the Unit for Experimental Medicine and Surgery (UMCE).
