Innovation and Technology Transfer Office

Since 2014, the IGTP has had an innovation office that works to identify, evaluate and prioritise the ideas, inventions and research results of Can Ruti Campus researchers. The objective is to create a high value-added technological portfolio that can be converted into products and services that can be transferred to the market and that require action to be taken as regards intellectual property protection.Activities at the innovation office centre on orienting and guiding Can Ruti Campus researchers on the different management policies and procedures related to intellectual and industrial property, evaluating and analysing the viability of technologies/projects, transferring and exploiting results by processing and obtaining patents, the award of licences, creating spin-offs and other exploitation opportunities that generate economic and/or social revenue. Furthermore, in order to support activities to bring the technological portfolio to market and seek alliances with industrial partners, a database of businesses and other partners is available.

Research Projects Office

The IGTP projects office, which works to manage research projects financedunder the framework of challenges from the Spanish system, European space and other international spaces, has been extended. Its work includes disseminating information, supporting proposal preparation, submitting declarations of interest, seeking partners and economic management.Its activities centre on providing guidance for research staff on different opportunities for obtaining public and private Spanish and international funding, so projects can be adapted and redefined in accordance with the significant elements of each type of call for applications and the relevant economic frameworks, responsibilities, performance dynamics and supporting evidence.
