Developed by: Instituto de Investigación Sanitaria Biodonostia
Following its accreditation, the Biodonostia Health Research Institute constantly monitors and reviews its Strategic Plan in order to promote a Research Institute of excellence. This means establishing and monitoring research and management quality indicators.
To achieve this, and in accordance with the specifications of Royal Decree 339/2004, dated 27 February, on the accreditation of Health Research Institutes (Official Gazette issue 63 dated 13 March 2004), the Evaluation Unit provides support to the different units of the Institute in order to obtain its reaccreditation and the Biodonostia HRI stamp of quality. Furthermore, it monitors management processes already in place by means of establishing a system to evaluate and exploit indicators, necessary for making decisions in a dynamic and continuously improving system such as the Biodonostia HRI.
The Unit provides the following services:
- Maintenance of the monitoring indicators system.
- Management of processes to obtain reaccreditation as a Health Research Institute.
- Providing information to Government Bodies and the Quality Commission for making decisions, including the review of results, information analysis and suggestions for improvement.
- Coordination of processes to introduce, monitor and certify the Biodonostia HRI Quality Strategy.
