Maimónides Biomedical Research Institute of Córdoba

IMIBIC is a health research institute founded on August 24, 2008 following an agreement between the Regional Ministry of Health, the Regional Ministry of Economy, Innovation, Science and Employment and the University of Cordoba, signed on July 29, 2007. The Institute is managed by the Foundation for Biomedical Research of Córdoba (FIBICO in Spanish), founded on December 27, 2007.

IMIBIC works in collaboration with the University of Cordoba and the Reina Sofia University Hospital, a public hospital with a high level of care and strongly involved in health professional training.

IMIBIC is managed by the Fundación para la Investigación Biomédica de Córdoba (FIBICO, Foundation for Biomedical Research), founded the 27th of December, 2007.

FIBICO is responsible for R&D&i (Research, Development and Innovation) management and is in charge of supporting R&D&i within the Public Health System from Andalucia (Sistema Sanitario Público de Andalucía) in Cordoba region.

The Innovation Department is taking part in all knowledge fields that take place in the biosanitary scope, from Medical Technologies and Communication and Information and Communication Technologies to biomedical research results transfer.

From the Innovation Department the researchers receive all mentoring needed during the different stages of the innovation processs, being our aim that innovative ideas and research results will become new products or services adding value to health system and society.
