The Biomedical Research Institute of Lleida (IRBLleida) is a public sector institution that promotes and develops the biomedical research and innovation from the University of Lleida and the healthcare system from the Arnau de Vilanova University Hospital (HUAV), Santa Maria University Hospital (HUSM) and the primary healthcare area in Lleida.
Since its creation in 2003, IRBLleida works to find solutions to the health problems of society and contribute to spread them around the world. IRBLleida aims to put biomedical research into practice for the benefit of the community.
IRBLleida is part of the CERCA institution of the Generalitat of Catalonia and is accredited as a health research institute by the Carlos III Institute of Health. In our institute are working 350 people, of which over 300 doing research and others, around 50, help to do it or transfer it to the society once made.
