The Health Research Institute of Santiago de Compostela
The Health Research Institute of Santiago de Compostela (IDIS) is a center for translational research, innovation and knowledge transfer which promotes synergies between Integrated Managment Area of Santiago de Compostela and the University of Santiago de Compostela, which are linked more than 60 groups and 700 researchers.
Born in 2008 to value applied knowledge and Galicia became an international reference in the field of biomedicine. It is one of 22 accredited health research centers throughout Spain by Carlos III Health Institute and the only one in Galicia with this recognition.
Among the objectives of IDIS is to facilitate cross-platform support for research that can be used by multiple groups, optimizing use and avoiding unnecessary duplication. They are located at:
