The European Business and Innovation Centre of Asturias (BIC Asturias), as a non-profit association and supported by various state and private entities under the European Commission BIC aims to:

  • Encourage entrepreneurship and innovation.
  • Support the creation of new companies, particularly those that have elements of innovation and technology.
  • Assist existing companies in their innovation/diversification process.
  • Research and develop new business activities that generate employment and innovation.

  • In collaboration with the University of Oviedo, technology centers and research and consolidated companies, we participate in courses, masters and conferences aimed at potential entrepreneurs, and develop specific programs to identify areas of research and activities likely to develop new businesses and to establish spin-offs.
  • Support for entrepreneurs to exploit the potential of their business initiatives; to check their business ideas feasibility and to define their business model.
  • Individual and personalized services for business plan development guidance: legal, labor, market, trade, economic, financial advice, etc.
  •  Specialized advice in intellectual property for business projects that have in their business model inventions and creations that could be protected by law
  •  Acceleration programs for business projects with sectoral specialization, one focused on the field of biotechnology, involving industry experts and individual support for entrepreneurs to develop their business model.
  •  Financial feasibility analysis, financing needs definition and help to find the more suitable sources of funding for business projects. We act as a bridge between entrepreneurs and the different bodies and entities that can offer various lines of funding, i.e. private investors, investment forums, subsidies
  • Processing services to establish new companies and startups.
  • Bio incubator services for innovative and technology-based companies and entrepreneurs, especially biotechnology projects.
