SePIR + 12: Key monitoring tool of the Strategic Plan of the IIS Hospital 12 de Octubre.

The "SePIR + 12 System" allows knowing the fulfillment of the Action Plans and quantifies the achievement of the proposed work in the annuity and the accumulated during the entire term of the Strategic Plan.

In order to guarantee the correct monitoring of the objectives set and the execution of the activities of the i + 12 Institute and the 12 de Octubre University Hospital itself, a monitoring tool for the Strategic Plan has been developed. This tool, called "SePIR + 12 System", allows to know the fulfillment of the Action Plans and quantifies the achievement of the proposed work in the annuity and the accumulated during the entire term of the Strategic Plan.

According to María López, coordinator of the Quality and Strategic Planning Unit of the Hospital 12 de Octubre Research Institute (i + 12), "by doing the annual monitoring and checking the degree of compliance, it can be evaluated whether the efforts made have been sufficient or scarce ". Thus, this tool allows us to adapt both personal and material resources to achieve the Strategic Plan. This practice is carried out from a quantitative measurement of the objectives and activities proposed annually and globally.

SePIR + 12 was implemented in the i + 12 Institute for the follow-up of the Strategic Plans 2014-2018 and 2019-2023, and it was also developed for the follow-up of the Strategic Plan 2015-2019 of the University Hospital 12 de Octubre, which included seven axes of action, along with two transversal axes, on which plans and actions pivoted. All of them are structured around key issues for the Hospital's progress, such as the patient, the healthcare organization, the national and international healthcare reference, professionals, innovation, teaching and society, accompanied by Information and Communication Technologies , and alliances and collaborations with other institutions.

The i + 12 Institute signed a license agreement for the use, distribution and reproduction of "SePIR + 12" to a strategic consulting company that has implemented it in different entities.
