These stents can be used in numerous cases of patients demanding stent collocation due to different pathologies such as stenosis, cardiopathies, respiratory and urinary obstructions, among others.
3D printing technology can be exploited to personalize stents in order to fit the requirements of the implantable area, increasing the viability of the stent and the healing efficacy.
Estado de protección
The efficacy of the antibacterial and the drug-release stents have been tested exhaustively and at this point, the in vitro and ex vivo tests have been performed with excellent results as with in vivo tests. Currently the developments are ready to be tested in preclinical and clinical assays. It is expected to obtain the CE mark at the Q1 of 2020.
The 3D design stent shall obtain the CE mark in 2020 after passing different tests to prove its viability.
